ALI : Sacred Run 1991 Canada


Ali is a keen activist in exploring and preserving old cultures and civilizations. His passion has taken him to almost every corner of the world. In 1991 Ali travelled to Canada with his friend Francine.

On August 6, a spiritual run 'Sacred Run Canada 1991' began from Vancouver, British Columbia and arrived in Kahnawake, Quebec on September 27, 1991 convering 6,100 km.

Native North American, Japanese and European runners joined together to carry the message of the sacredness of all things and prayers for the healing of Mother Earth.


During the sacred run Ali met with the founder of the sacred run Mr. Dennis Banks who organized the first sacred run in 1978.


Ali, during his visit to Pakistan where he was awarded for his great art work and services towards international peace gave an important lecture to the audience who gathered at the Holiday Inn hotel, Lahore.


Ali gave useful information to the audience regarding the native american culture and what steps should be taken to preserve it. Audience took great interest in the lecture.


Ali was awarded with the medal of 'Bigstone Cree Nation' by the organising comittee of the sacred run.
